In today's video, we will be unboxing and taking a closer look at iKampers Skycamp 2.0. The Skycamp 2.0 is a four-person hard shell rooftop tent that combines the easy setup of a pop-up rooftop tent and the extra space of a more traditional flip-out tent. Setting up camp takes only 60 seconds with this system. To deploy the tent, all you do is unlock the two latches on the side and push up. The gas struts will do the rest of the work for you. The gas struts also come with aluminum stops that snap into place to keep your tent from closing on you. You can sleep well knowing your tent will stay open all night. Once the hardtop is open, simply grab the ladder to flip out the sleeping platform. The rest of the tent will unfold from here.
The ladder will telescope out and securely rest on the round. With this new generation of Skykamper 2.0, the ladder steps are wider and angled slightly so when the ladder is deployed the steps are flat. This small change makes getting in and out of you Skycamp 2.0 much easier, especially if you are barefoot. The front door features a storm awning that can be rolled up out of the way or deployed with metal tension rods.
As you climb the ladder in your Skycamper 2.0 you will be greeted by a world map that is printed onto the diamond quilted roof liner. The mattress also features this same luxurious quilted cover, the mattress itself is 2-inch thick memory foam.
The hardshell cover comes in three color options, glossy black, glossy white, and rocky black. The rocky black option is sprayed with a bed liner material to prevent scratching and damage while on the trail.
