Vermont Gear Testing with MLO and Ridgeback Guide Service

Main Line Overland and Ridgeback Guide Service put together a great weekend of gear testing in Vermont's Class 4 Road system, and may have just started a new tradition along the way.

We met up in Windham, VT at Pete's Camp, a beautifully landscaped campsite with views of the changing fall colors, and plenty of firewood for the chilly evenings starting to take hold in the Green Mountains. Our crew consisted of experienced wheelers from Ridgeback Guide Service's Trail Team, and Matt, Pete, Tom, and Aaron from MLO headquarters.

We brought our fully-locked 2010 Range Rover Sport sporting a fresh set of 18x8.5 EVO Corse LR4 Wheels wrapped in 35" KM3 tires,

our 1989 Land Rover Defender 110 with a new set of rock sliders, and our 2016 Tacoma Rental Camper also sporting EVOs, GTS Suspension, and a Four Wheel Campers Fleet Front Dinette Model.

We had a fantastic time putting the new EVOs through their paces in an aired-down off-road environment,

with plenty of rocks, ruts, and whoops in abnormally dry conditions for the Vermont fall.

Our 5th Gen 4Runner customer and Ridgeback Team Member found many opportunities to test both torque and flex with his new 4.88 gears and 35" tires churning through steep uphill terrain for much of the weekend.

A trip to Vermont would not be complete without hitting the General Store scene in towns like Grafton and Chester, and sampling the local ciders and brews back at camp. We had such a good time that we are already planning it as an annual rendezvous--the perfect time of year for experiencing the best of New England.
MLO and Ridgeback Guide Service will be back on October 26th and 27th with our Fall Open House and Trail Ride weekend in Bow, NH. Sign up here to reserve your spot!
